How to Make the Perfect Carne Asada: Step by Step

Ready to enjoy delicious carne asada? We've got you covered with an easy and friendly guide to help you shine at your next barbecue. And best of all! You can find all the ingredients you need in our supermarkets.

Necessary Ingredients

  • Excellent cuts of meat or marinated meat can be found in our butcher shops.
  • Marinate: Lime juice, minced garlic, and salt.
  • Side Dishes: Tortillas, beans, salsa, and guacamole.
  • Vegetables: Tomato, onion, and chilies, perfect for making salsa or grilling.
  • Vegetarian Mesquite Charcoal

Step by Step

1. Marinate the Meat

Start by cutting the meat into thin slices. Mix the lime juice, minced garlic, and salt in a bowl. Submerge the meat in this mixture and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes. This will give it an incredible flavor!

2. Prepare the Grill

Make sure your grill is clean and ready. Light the charcoal and wait until it's really hot (the coals should be glowing red). Before placing the meat on the grill, rub the grill with half an onion for an extra touch of flavor.

3. Cook the Meat

Place the meat on the grill and cook for 6 minutes per side for medium-rare. Adjust the time according to your preference: 8 minutes for medium-rare and 10 minutes for well-done.

4. Serve and Enjoy

Once cooked, remove the meat and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve with warm tortillas, beans, pico de gallo, and guacamole. Ready! Now you can enjoy authentic Mexican-style carne asada.
